i have 5000 miles on my 99 sp 500 and i would like to know is there anything special i should do with changing the oil because of the milage?doesnt smoke none and still runs excellent.should i clean my carb and gas tank?

 

I would say keep doing what you are doing now seems to be working.

 

There is no need to clean the tank or carb. Certainly change the fuel filter on a regular basis.

Basic, regular maintenance, fuel it up and ride!
