Default How well does the 850 keep up with sports on the straights?

The Sportsman I know is heavy but with 70hp and how high it's top speed is how does it stack up next to a sport atv in 0-50?

I'm not looking to race sport quads with a utility just wondering with all the HP how it stacks up. next to for instance a Z400 Predator and such.

Kind of a stupid question but my machines aren't broken in yet and it's just too cold right now so I can't really find out for my self for a few months. So i figured i would ask and see if anyone else has done this.

Thanks guys.

Depends on the Sport atv.......some would just leave the 850 in their dust and the 850 would do the same to some sport quads.

Ya I guess my question was kind of broad. haha
The two I would like to pick on a little are a Z400 and a 400EX of my friends.

A XP 850 would dust a 400ex or 400z in a straight drag. 36 hp single vs 70 hp twin will make up the weight disadvantage difference.

You will find the fun trails are the ones where you lucky to hit 30 mph. The 60 mph trails are called "roads" and get dull fast.

This all depends on the year of Z you are referring to and even at that you will find that it would be a tight race if not the Z winning! If the Z is a 09 or new I would place my money on the Z without a doubt!

Default who is faster?

Not sure on the 850XP but I can tell you that how a Outlander 800 does. Horsepower to weight ratio is similar to the XP. My friends Outlander has raced everything in the sport quad category from Tweaked banshees to My Outlaw 525 and Predator 500. On flat gravel roads he is hard to beat, I have to nail the start perfectly on my Outlaw. He ate up a couple of hot banshees in the holeshot at the swinging tree flat drag area in Oregon Dunes and styed with them upto 130 yards. At the dunes it is a different story as the weight is a killer.

Wow thats interesting I didn't think the Outlaw 525 and 850XP would be that close.
