Default Ramps

I dont know if they have a store in your local area, but I bought a folding aluminum set of ramps at my local Harbor Freight, and these things are great. They cover the entire width of a standard truck bed, and then the three sections fold up into one unit for easy storing. Good ramps, good price.

I have a set of the arched folding ramps. Got them off ebay pretty reasonable. Nice thing about the arched ramps is they take away the extreme angle while loading you get with straight ones. Also have a set of the straight aluminum ones that were used many times loading my 800sp so they definitely will handle the weight of your xp. Hardly use them anymore because I trailer pretty much everywhere I go which is nice because I can load the the box up with gear instead of piling it around a wheeler and in the cab.

Aluminem Tri fold six footer works great. You don't have worry about the ramp kicking out to either side. Just stap it to your hitch when loading. Rated for 1500 pounds

Thanks everyone for posting experinces and thoughts. Can't wait to get out for the first time this weekend. I guess i just have to get use to loading and unloading. It can be a little scary at first and even more so when you have never owned a quad before.

I have the tri-fold 6ft alum. ramps, they work great. I usually look around where I am to find a spot where the back wheels are lower than the front, or a berm/mound of dirt or a hill i can back up to, just to take away the "scare" factor when unloading. The more times you do it, the easier it gets. Don't forget to get a back rack or a spare tire to use as a bumper so you don't break the rear glass on you truck with your shiny new brush guard. My back rack paid for itself the first time I put my quad on my truck.

I purchased a set of aluminum folding ramps from Loading Ramps, Hauling, Transport, & Skateboard Ramp Superstore - Discount Ramps.com in 2004 that I use to load my SP500HO. They have lots to choose from these days!

They are a great set of ramps - very well made, have been 100% reliable and have lots of years left in them.

I would buy from them again.

I have the 9ft. black widow ramps 12" wide that I use with my 850xp, personally I think for a ramp they offer more than other ramps due such as; a full width plate at the end where it makes contact with a tailgate = more surface area on the tailgate, less chance of it denting the tailgate too. The beveled edges at the ground are grooved for traction is also a nice feature. The ramps are rated for 600lbs per 1200lbs total. I know for a fact that they can handle around 1450lbs as I've used them to load my zero turn onto my trailer.

Enjoy your new ride, let us know how you like your first quad. Last little loading tip: Loading in FWD mode tends to make it safer if you have wet or muddy tires.

I used Oxlite Loading Ramps | Oxlite of America ramps until I got my trailer. They worked okay but ther way they flexed was really scary. Secure your ramps and keep your helmet on so you don't end up like Charlie. YouTube - Charlie's Accident

I just checked mine. They are a bi-fold from Quadboss and they are rated for up to 1500 pounds or 750 per side, 350 per wheel. The wheelbase must be at least 42".

I have been using them for years with my 500 and I will continue to use them with my new 850.
