Yeah I have been following you for a bit. I plow with the 500 Touring which has better tires than the XP, but even it had a hard time in the last snow storm. I have been toying with moving the plow to the XP, but would need to change out the tires for sure then (been meaning to do this someday when I get some spare coin). I have had my eye on the Reapers for a while, seem like a nice tire.

I'm looking at those as well - but the new GBC's have my eye or the Pitbull 26.6". Do you need a lift with the 27" XTR? Do you have a pic? Thanks...Jeff

No need for a lift on the XP. You can fit almost any tire as far as height. The problem is the sway bar in the rear on 09's and using the stock wheels.

IMO, maxxis tires are far superior to the others. GBC's are usually cheaper knock offs of the maxxis tires.
Pitbulls look like a great tire also, but heavier than most just like the XTR.

Everyone will tell you that what they have is the best because they just spent their money on them. There isn't another tire out there with more time on the market and continuous great reviews than the bighorn tires. Most people couldn't even wear out a set.

I have a few pics on the forum Already but I can put up another one when I get back to my computer, I can't upload from the iPhone :-) but there is no lift and the tires don't rub at all. That being said, I also have aftermarket rims. But if you do a search for a member called SkyCheif he has 27" XTR's on his stock 850 rims

Thanks - sweet rig. Here's another pro for the Bighorns as well.

YouTube - polaris 850 vs. thundercat 1000 vs jeep

Notice how superior the Polaris is climbing the rocks vs. the Artic Cat 1000...Impressive. Stock 26" BigHorns with NO lift compared to the Cat with like 30"
