Plow systems? all the same??
So i'm trying to get a price idea on what a plow system will cost me. 50" is plenty, and if i can install/remove in 5 minutes or less, I'm happy. ATV superstore has a warn provantage for $380. Pure is saying $150 for the frame, $150 for the blade, and I'm not sure what else I need. With both I'm assuming I need to have a winch installed. For the record, I also plan to install ATV guru bumpers, not sure if that will affect the choice or not.
If you have either, please let me know. Pictures are appreciated as well

I have a 60" warn pro-vantage. This is my 2nd winter using this set up. I would highly recomend this system over a polaris set up. The warn is much more durable. I had a glacier 2 plow system in the past and they are not very durable, I had to reinforce the atv plow mount because it was junk!! I have pics of the warn if you click on my photo bucket link.
I have no idea if either will work with a guru bumper. e-mail the atvsuperstore and ask them.

I believe you can only get the front mount for the xp. You get alot more lift and easier hook up with a front mount. the only downfall to a front mount is some of them are not very durable, but the warn seems to be holding up very well so far.

If you're running a new style Polaris Glacier 2 mount and guru bumpers you have to do some minor fitting. You have to trim the mount and you may have to to a little trimming to the brushguard. Nothing major but be aware you're gonna need a grinder or some means of trimming metal. Guru can send along the info on what needs to be trimmed.
So far my G2 has been fine with the exception of losing plow skids. I've only had to use it a few times but I plow a lot. I live in the country have a long gravel driveway and lane. The storms haven generally been all that deep with the exception of a storm where we got a good 24 inches with huge drifts.
As far as the problems with the skids I would advise using use lock washers and loctite in addition to the lock washers Polaris sends with the blade.
Mounting and removal is great. Literally takes seconds and you don't have to crawl around on the floor to take it on and off.

I have tested all of the above. We have found that the American Eagle and Warn are the strongest you can get. They both come in front and belly mount systems. The belly mount will not give you the front end dive however the front mount gives the blade more lift. If you want a front go with the Warn because with the AE font mount you loose almost 4 inches of front ground clearance meaning when winter is done you want to take it off. If you want belly go with the American Eagle. It is the stronger of the 2 and has a easy mount belly set up that costs extra on the Warn. The 60 inch blade is the best for all types of plowing.

Ditto on the eagle plow. Have a 66" v-plow on my rzr and love it. Only issue when I got it was I thought the mount plate was cheesy because it bolted with the diff bolts and had too much flex. Contacted them directly and gave them a few ideas which they tried. Worked like a charm so they made the changes. Great people to work with and they are manufactured right here in the USA! Heard good things about the warns also and never liked the g2's from the start. They're fine if all you do is light plowing but aren't going to hold up under the heavy stuff IMO.
