Question Lug nut ???

Last week I bought a set of factory RzR take offs. The rims are 12" Polaris Crusher rims and brand new 26" Maxxis Big Horn tires. I cannot go to pick them up until later this week.

My question is about the lug nuts.

Will I need different nuts for these rims than I have with my steel rims that are on the machine now?

If it matters, its a 2007 Polaris EFI 700.

well, I'll say this. If you need different lug nuts, then i need to refill my headlight fluid and change my muffler bearings. only thing you really need to make sure of is that the bolt pattern is the same.

WOW, thank you for that...

RzR and Sportsman's share the SAME 4X156 bolt pattern...

Guess I can educate you a bit.... Some rims have a tapered base and require a Acorn style nut. The steel rims I have are stock and have no such base, the lugs are flanged and flat. Like a regular automotive nut with knurled base to resist loosening...

I am merely asking which style the alloys use...

Not for sure but you may need longer wheel studs for the alloys. Can't remember if the steel wheeled vs. aluminum wheeled were the same length. Or know if the rims are the same thickness. You may need the studs for a razor??? If you need longer, no biggie, Polaris Extended Wheel Studs #186

yea I always thought if you go from a steel to an aluminum, you need longer studs...
