Does 500 H.O. need rejet?

Is it necessary to rejet a 500 HO with K&N filter? I will be running 93 oct. fuel, by the way!

I doubt it; the main reason for re-jetting is elevation. It is my understanding that Polaris's come from the factory jetted for 0 to 3000 ft. and at that most people find it running a little rich.
When I installed a K&N it made no noticeable difference to performance and the plug was still black. Since then I have re-jetted.
