I have this bog that started back in november that as I was topping out or accelerating it would bog and if I kept on the throttle completely die.I took carb apart it had shittle in the bowl so I ,soaked it in carb clean by berry man, washed it and sprayed it out w air.I put it back on go to start it,being I have a big carb on it 39/44 air stryker,I always have to prime it w carb clean/brake clean to initially get it to fire,I did that let it warm up I go to ride it, a few minutes later it dies, pulled out choke it started ,ran it back to front yard and down the street went to accelerate and it kept dying/ bogging badly till I let off the gas.Could bad fuel or reeds do this or Do you think I need a rebuild?I havent checked the compression as I didnt have time tonite but will try to do that tommorow after work. Thanks for the replies

Could be bad gas. Sounds likes its running lean to me. Check the color on the plug? Could try upping the jets 1 size. Not sure what the temps are in your area but as it gets colder you have to run richer mixture. Just mentioning that cause you said it started in November. When cleaning carb did you look at the needles to see if they were gummed up? A little dirt goes a long way in a carb or so they say.

I'd drain the gas and get some fresh and try that. On mine I had to change the reed petals when mine was REALLY struggling with revving up in the very bottom end of the rpms.... I went with boyesen super stock carbon reeds in mine and that took care of my severe hesitation. Also could be your mixture screw needs adjusting. just a few things to check....
