2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 - engine swap

Question 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 - engine swap
Anyone know what other year 500 engines will work as a replacement for the 07 sportsman? My friend has one with a blown motor and I have a couple scrambler 500ho motors setting around. They look the same in pics online except for the carb/injector setup. Is the motor the same though?

yes motor is the same electronics are diffewrent for fuel injection
