Default clutch noise

i wonder if there is anyway to disengage the starter clutches on my 2008 sp 400 ho,does anybody know why they use this style of transmission on the the hawkeye and the 400's,what was wrong with the way the old 400's worked,i had a 2004 sp 400 and put a clutch kit in it and loved it,does anybody know where i might get some answers if nobody on here knows,thanks............p.s. i have about 2500 miles on it now, changed the cover bearing,no help, made it worst, the noise is driving me bonkers,to the point i'm ready to trade it off,but i love the size of it,it's not to big........i sure would like to find a solution..............
