Default Sportsman 550 EPS pricing in Ohio

Looking to purchase a 2011 550 EXP and the best price received so far is $7500 OTD. I live in Ohio and the price includes all taxes and associated fees. Travel time to the dealer is 2+ hours from my home which is an inconvenience, but worth the $300 premium from local dealers. Is there any better deals out there? Comments and suggestions are welcome.

atv's are only as good as the dealer buy with who you like but remeber 2 hr drive time and 3.50 gas might eat that 300 up pretty quick good luck on your quest

If I were only talking a 300 dollar difference, I would buy from the more local dealership (especially if you like them) just b/c without fail you will be going back to them for something! I am well aware that any dealership will take your money and do the service, but it seems they are a bit more willing to do you a favor if the quad came from there originally!

On a side note-where are you in Ohio? I am about an hour south of Columbus but ride yamaha so no knowledge of popo prices!

Thanks for your comments. I just sold my Honda Foreman, which I had for over 11 years and NEVER took it to the dealer for repairs/warranty work. What scares me is the fact that Polaris service is critical. Are Polaris ATVs that unreliable or are they too complicated to work on?

Default My two cents!

Two summers ago my dad had a brand new polaris that would not stop overheating!! Everytime we went for a ride it would overheat...but according to the dealer there was nothing wrong with it! He has now put in all last summer on his grizz 700 with absolutely no problem! I can't foresee ever going to polaris...they seem to be very popular and there are a lot of posts on here about them (quite a few seem to be something wrong though) and I am sure there are tons of people that have had great luck with them...there are enough reputable brands out there to not go with a company that let you down the first time! Good luck with your purchase and maybe we will see you on the trails in OHIO!!!

After thinking about the situation a little more I have decided to buy local. Will report back on the deal I'm able to get.
