Default Front end for fourwheel drive is not working

I have an 05 sportsman 800 twin efi that the front fourwheel drive is not working on, I turn the switch on the light comes on on the guage but it won't engage in the front end, I have even put it in reverse and pushed the yellow button to try to engage it when I reverse but it won't do it then either, does anyone know what could be the problem

Thanks Tim

Possibly a busted cage in the front dif....I've never changed one but I'm sure you will get more responses from the big boys soon...

If you go to the top of the screen, you will see "search" ...punch in "Polaris roller cage", and you will see alot of threads on that subject...
