throttle problems

Default throttle problems

Hey guys well this is my first Polaris quad! bought a 2007 sportsmen 500 ho efi, bought back in august, i have now ran into a problem my quad wont start unless i hold it wide open and when it does start and i let off my throttle it dies but if i hold it it half after it starts it will rev up and then almost die and then rev rate back up again to about 3500 rpm , i think maybe my sensor is gone but im not to sure any other suggestons?

Could be too much throttle slack (1/8-3/16") needed,plus could be bad fuel,fuel pump problems,or efi sensor short. Try the slack first in throttle. OPT

welcome to the forum. does it throw off any codes? did it start having this issue all at once?
