EPS on 850xp

ABSOLUTELY,especially if you have RA like me! When I first drove one was like driving a car. Can turn the bars with your finger! Plus no kickback from tires to steering,no more bars ripped out of your hands! If you have fore arms like Popeye or have reasonable strength, you could live with out it.But I highly recommend for elderly(Like me, lol),petite spouses or people with any disabilities. I'm starting to sound like a salesman! OPT

IMO, its soooo worth it. I was against it at first, so I wen tto a local dealership, now I own an 850 eps. Its really smooth, but when you're riding trails, it doesn't interfere with your ability to feel the terrain. I'm definitely less tired after riding the EPS for 5 hours than after 2 hours of non-EPS. Go ride one for yourself if you can to be sure, but IMO, you'll never want to go back if you get it.

This was one of the biggest shocks we had also transitioning between machines when we only had 1 XP in the stable, it drove me nuts to move Wifey's 08-800 around. I felt almost bad having EPS without her having it.

Are the systems pretty reliable , what kind of mileage can a owner get before the system starts to cost . Will they go 20,000 problem free ?

Seriously, there are machines out there that have several thousand miles on em ,but 20,000 miles! This is an atv not a Hummer! have seen couple old machines with about 6-7 thousand miles on em,but pretty long in the tooth and ready to be put out to pasture. With any machine, like the old saying,IF it has tires or t*****s on it ,YOU will eventually have trouble with it. OPT

Only if you drive on the freeway! Tire replacement would be frequent though!

I was referring to would the power steering system last 20 not the machine . I have 9000 miles on my 08 plan on doing another 3-4 thousand this season giving me 12 to 13 thousand . I plan on hitting the 20 mark in a few more years . My machine is mint it's been problem free and runs flawless it might not be a hummer but it runs like one , it's not long in the tooth and it drives past pastures It's a 500 carb
