Default 1995 Polaris Sportsman 400 Stalls in Reverse

I have a 1995 Polaris sportsman 500 that stalls every time you put it in reverse. If I push the "Override Switch(Reverse Speed Limiter)" It will not stall and it backs up fine. Does anyone have any Idea what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you can not figger it out I think there is a way to bypass the reverse safety limiter, you would have to do a search on this site to find it though.

I may also do it I hate holding down the yellow button sometimes.

When you say "it stalls"...are you saying it dies? Or just sputters? It's supposed to "sputter" in reverse until you push the reverse override.

Terminal board on left side under fuel tank cover (may have to lift up/remove tank cover to get to top of terminal board. There are two black wires at top of board, one goes to engine kill switch(you will know you have the wrong wire if key switch doesn't shut engine off) Just pull the black wire from the small limiter module and will solve the problem.Yellow button is defeated and machine will have FULL power in reverse at all times. Is there a similarly simple way to disconnect the override button on my 400 trailblazer?

Edit

Sorry I'm not trying to hijack, just wondering since that seems REALLY easy to do besides disassembling the top of the bike

On your 2003 Trail Blazer 400 just pop the front cover off. You will see two modules, the one on the left is the limiter, the one on the right is the reg/rectifier. Just pull the black lead from the left module, easier than than on the Sportsman 400. OPT
