1995 Polaris Sportsman 400 Stalls in Reverse
I have a 1995 Polaris sportsman 500 that stalls every time you put it in reverse. If I push the "Override Switch(Reverse Speed Limiter)" It will not stall and it backs up fine. Does anyone have any Idea what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you can not figger it out I think there is a way to bypass the reverse safety limiter, you would have to do a search on this site to find it though.
I may also do it I hate holding down the yellow button sometimes. |
unhook black wire from speed limiter box

When you say "it stalls"...are you saying it dies? Or just sputters? It's supposed to "sputter" in reverse until you push the reverse override.

Is there a similarly simple way to disconnect the override button on my 400 trailblazer?
Edit Sorry I'm not trying to hijack, just wondering since that seems REALLY easy to do besides disassembling the top of the bike :) |
On your 2003 Trail Blazer 400 just pop the front cover off. You will see two modules, the one on the left is the limiter, the one on the right is the reg/rectifier. Just pull the black lead from the left module, easier than than on the Sportsman 400. OPT
