Same thing was happening with my 2008 touring 500. Check and clean the fuses under the front box, or replace with new fuses. They get pretty dirty under there and cause a bad connection. I changed mine and sealed up as best i could with di-electric grease after new fuses were installed, fixed problem for me.

I'd follow the harness back from the modules a little on the drivers side,a lot of the models have a 20 amp thermal fuse taped to the top of the harness for easy access. If yours doesn't have one, then I would check under pod for any exposed/damaged wires. If none of this helps, then you're probably down to the controller module or ecm! Plus is battery terminals tight?? Another thing I found on my bike with the wiring which may help. Look at wiring harnesses where they come out of the black plastic wire loom protector. I found several on my bike where the loom had cut threw the outside of the wire exposing the wires to moisture and causing shorts and messing up my tps sensor. Fairly easy to do....check exposed wires between plastic wire loom and the connector on the end. I found 3 or so on my bike.

Sometimes you can get lucky with electrical gremlins. Start with double checking/cleaning simple connections like battery terminals. You can re-insulate and protect "questionable" wires with products like liquid electrical tape, or self-vulcanizing silicone electrical tape. A time consuming proceedure of wiggle testing all along wiring routes can also sometimes turn up the problem area. Never easy, but good luck.
