steering is only part of the riding and other parts is actually feel like she conrtolling the bike and not the other way around because the over all size,weight, and height. my wife felt nervous like of steep side banks(which she rolled one hers over w/ the kid on it) becuase of it being more top heavy for her small body frame/weight. to me theres alot more to consider in just steering as i found out the hard way as the 08' sportsman 400 we had steered just fine and easy. just my

Try and get a shot on the new 2011 400. Same size as the 500 but the steering is very different. It is so much easier than my 2010 55HO. At least give it a go and see what she thinks.
