Default Used ATV value?

I'm looking at buying a second ATV so we can go riding as a family. Someone's selling a 2005 Sportsman 700, for $4500, is this a good deal? I feel like it's probably not, based on the blue book value of $3,970.

Also, do Sportsman 700's have any known mechanical issues, or poor reliability? I know about that TBap thing...

I may update this thread with different machines, if I find a questionable price.

Thanks in advance

It better be immaculate with very low miles for $4500. Otherwise I'd keep looking.

Truthfully if I bought another I would go to a friendly dealer and try to get one of theirs. Just in case something does break, you can take it back and try to get them to fix it...

Not a good deal when you can get a 2011 500 for like $1000 more .

I thought it was steep. Ideally I'd be looking for an ATV at less than $4000. Not sure what that'll get me though.
