Default Never again a after market boot

I have replaced 2 CV boots on our 500's, first 3 years ago and then last year both bought on line from different shops. Last year the new boot only fit just "good enough" and today as I am changing oil and lubing I see the other 3 year old boot has almost completely come apart, looked like someone had taken a hacksaw or axe to it. All the Polaris boots had were small splits when I replaced them.

Popo boots and belts are well worth the extra $ IMO.

The way I use my machine I can only hope my boots last 1 to 2 years. I usually have some sort of weeds wrapped tightly around the boots and axles after a good ride

I think there are only 2 reasons why this 3 year old boot fell apart, 1 would be it was made of a plastic that should never be touched by petroleum product or #2 hunting last Nov. in deep snow ice somehow built up around the axle and cut the boot to shreds. It's a inside boot so I think #1 is more likely.
