Trail Boss 330 Problem?!?
#12
Right underneath the carb right past the fuel bowl(toward the carb front) is a round plug. You can use a small drill bit and SLOWLY drill through this ,BUT stop as soon as it goes through or you can damage the screw head underneath!!! Use a small drywall screw or one that will barely screw into the hole. Wiggle the screw with pliers, pull the plug out. SLOWLY turn the screw in until it stops, counting the turns. If its like most of the ones I've encountered it will be between 1/2-1 turn out from lightly seated. If so,turnout to TWO turns. You don't have to replace the blocking plug! Check this along with installing a good air filter! This screw mainly affect the idle circuit,BUT will help on starting, idle and warm up time without having to leave the choke on a long time!. Down here in Texas I've just used the stock jetting after doing this. Just depends on altitude if you need to get into carb jet changes!! OPT
