Just grab the belt in the center and pull up,get the excess slack on top of the rear clutch and roll the belt off the clutch as you are turning it,then just slip belt off the front clutch.OPT

the clutch cover is off. and the two wheels holding the belt is exposed. my problem now is getting the two wheels off to get to the guard behind the wheels.

if your refering to the clutches(wheels) you need a puller for the front clutch and just take the center bolt out of the back clutch and it will slide off.

Uhmm? Are you trying to remove the clutches(wheels) to get at the back plate(guard?). And if your replacing the belt, removing the clutches is not necessary.
