Default SP500 Circuit breakers

Has anyone use automotive circuit breakers instead of the Polaris ones? I think my 10 amp cb at the battery has some corrosion on the terminals,on my last ride I lost power to my lights and wiggled the sealed pouch and everything went back to working.I have not cut open the pouch yet.

You can,but be sure to carry extra fuses! The thermal fuse if working properly is designed to kick off and reset if there is any kind of problem without having to go through blowing a bunch of fuses trying to isolate a short, etc. Just split the pouch and check for corrosion at the terminal ends,if in doubt most auto stores have em. They do corrode and can short out after a few years. The one at the battery is a 20 amp thermal fuse, any under the front cover for the fan,etc are 10 amp. OPT
