Default 2012 New models will be announced 7-27-11

Dealer show starts 7-27-11 with new models announced if any. Sneak peak left the 850XP's off so something new may be coming. Rumors have said dealers are unable to order new 850XP's so they may have a High Output (HO) version coming out. Would be nice if they dropped the RZR motor into a sportsman chassis.
email I received from Polaris today said check back in next Wednesday....

It's like every year opening your Christmas presents, and finding socks.

better yet a Polaris IQ Turbo Dragon 750 4stroke.

Polaris pulls 145hp from the 4 stroke twin’s 750cc displacement.
2010 Polaris IQ Turbo Dragon Review

In other words Polaris is not after more power or they would of did it long ago in a ATV. The 750 is not even there strongest sled motor.

It sure would be interesting to see them send that motor over to the Victory division and tell them to put it in a 2 wheel frame.

The only thing I care about seeing from Polaris next week is some kind of Renegade competitor with an 850 HO motor in it putting out like 85 HP.

I wouldn't say that necessarily because in 09 they came out with the 850xp. Remember the video with the guy shooting the rifle.
Since then Arctic Cat came out with the thunder cat 1000, followed this year with a Can am 1000. Would not surprise me at all to see Polaris step up with a more powerful machine. The rzr 900 has a 875 motor putting out 88 hp at the crank and would be more in line with what Can Am has came out with, there new 975 motor puts out 82hp and is 100 lbs lighter than the Polaris. The Xp will need to go on a diet or up the HP over 82.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I love the way the Polaris rides.

What amazes me is what happened to Kawasaki. I remember when the were the leaders in faster machines when they started with the 650 Prairie followed by the 750 brutes. Kawasaki has just stopped competing.

The AC 1000 was out in 08.

I agree that Polaris has come up with some new great stuff in the last few years (XP's and RZR XP). Also agree with what you said about Kawi. I sure wish they would up the ante a little.

I hope they come out with a Renegade contender (long shot), so people can stop whining about it.

i don't think poaris has really ever cared about the speed/power game ever since the sportsmans have been out as they sell the most bike w/ just what they have. it still would be nice to see though.

Maybe Polaris will come out with a mud model.......I don't know how popular the can-am and Arctic Cat mudders are though........think there would be any intrest in a mud Sportsman off the show room floor?
