03 Predator Carb Leaking???

last year my carb was leaking badly through the drain in bottom of the carb.(not the overful). i replaced needle and seat and it slowed down but still didnt stop i cleaned the carb and still no stop so now everytime i stop i shut off the gas. what is causing this? i have a 03 KTM 250 sx that is doing the same.. maybe carbs just dont like me haha. but now the predator is not working right she is spitting and sputting on top end. please help

Make sure the bottom of the float assembly is parallel with the carb body when carb is held upside down.Also check for any splits,cracks in the overflow tube in the lower carb bowl that could cause the leaking also.When was the last time you had the valves adjusted?? The Predator has to have this done frequently since its a shim under bucket system. Valves can tighten up and cause the spitting,sputtering. I've even had em come in not running from too tight valves. OPT

You can adjust the small tang on the float up or down to where the float assy is level when held upside down.The clearance on the the valves have a specific range on the intake and exhaust.You need to get the clearance range and check with feeler gauge,most of the time valves are too tight! You have to have access to different adjustment shims or let a dealer do it! OPT
