Default Scrambler '09 cutting out

This weekends ride was terrible because my 09 scrambler decided to just shut off at various times. The first time was on a climb and almost caused a roll over.
When it shut off it would stay off for anywhere between 15-30 minutes and then it would allow me to start it again.

When it was "Off" it was truly off as in no lights or anything as if the battery was disconnected and eventually I would just see the lights come back on and it would start again.

Our theory was it was over heating but I know there is a warning light for that and they typically don't just shut down from that so I tend to doubt that theory...

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any idea what may be causing this before it actually injures me?

As a side note I need to reclutch and jet it for 9k ft or at least 6k+
Does anyone know what weights I should get and what jetting? Everything is still stock.

First thing that comes to mind is either the rpm module or the controller module(has internal breakers) overheating and shutting down until it cools down.?? As far as clutching requirements, will have to leave that to the other guys. OPT

definately electrical, you should keep a tester on board so you can do a little electrical investigating the next time this occurs
