Default 03 Sportsman 700 lift/spring question

Ok everyone I have a 03 Sportsman 700. I currently have EPI front and rear HD springs new not installed and a 2 in lift kit new not installed. I have been told that if I install both I'm gonna have axle problems. I've also read just a 2 in lift could cause issues but probably not. Is this true? If so which would you install? Springs or lift? I am a pretty big guy and am trying to get some more height and less squat. Any help, opinions, input would be appreciated! Thanks!

The infamous Sportsman squat. For me I added the EPI springs and it did help the overall handling quite a bit. The front for sure was improved. The rear still does squat a little but I have the springs on the softest setting. I am thinking that if I change to a stiffer setting it will be good. For me I would just add the springs first and see if there is an improvement. Then if you want/need more clearance you can add the lift. I weigh about 265 so I understand about the machine squatting.

Springs will help squatting and a 2" lift shouldn't hurt much. It will shorten axle life but not much depending on how heavy your thumb is on the throttle.
