I have a 2000 scrambler 400 4X4 I've had it for almost 4 months. My Question is this. Does the electric fan turn on often on this bike? I have yet to hear mine come on. My friend has an sp500 and his comes on all the time. The weather hear has been pretty cool 25-55f, however my temp light has never come on either. My local dealer tells me that the bike has to get real hot for it to come on but some dealers don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground. Any info you guys can supply would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Bubba~
It sounds like you have nothing to worry about. My 96' Scrambler rarely has the fan come on, and the temp light has never come on. The liquid cooling must be doing its job quite well.

My 99 Sport fan rarely comes on either. I've only seen the temp light come on once, and that was when my radiator was full of mud.

Mine only kicks on when I'm hill climbing in 4x4.

My buddy (Xplor) is thinking about taking it off, since he says it never (or so) came on.
Sounds normal to me.
