not sure that I've ever even heard of just an "X"... could it be missing the 4's that go beside it? j/k what year?

They were blue and yellow(I believe) with a big "X" on the front cover. I believe they were a 2002 special edition model. OPT

as always you are correct big boy it has a fox shock package as well. just wondering if i want to get back into a 2 stroke(since it would be the wifes bike). i'm assuming it has the same engine set up as the older xplores did? i remember a kid had one years ago i rode w/ and it had all kinds of power, but had some issue when he went through water/mud(not alot either) mostly from splashing the engine. seemed like an electrical issue. i thought he said something about the homonic balancer being an isue but i can't remember. I have one i'm eyeing that is all stock and nenevr been touched.

Just my ,I loved the power of the 400s but you have to stay "on top" of these a little more than the 4-strokes,especially the air filters, counter balancer oil/ checking for antifreeze in em after awhile, replacing pistons, rods, crank bearings, etc,BUT seems like also I always got the ones that were ragged out and put up wet If its clean and you want it get it! this is what i'm afraid of w/ this bike! i'm picking up my tractor on friday so i have a couple of days to think about it. wife really likes the look of the bike, but she does know the headaches either. thanks for the good info.
