Default Upgraded Bumper Lights

Well I finally got around to upgrading the cheap black plastic "Rally" lights that I had installed on my 09' XP 850 when I bought it new. I chose to go with the no-name brand vs the PIAA simply for the outragous price of the PIAA's. Anyways last night I got to looking around my shop and realized I had 2 sets of HID ballasts and 2 brand new H3 HID bulbs and decided to try and retrofit them to my existing light housings. After some soldering, zip-tieing and hole-sawing I finished the project!

I now have the Burkes Motors 3-Light HID kit for my headlights and pod-light (which I've had for 2 years) as well as my HID bumper lights, and lets just say driving at night is pretty awesome now!

Just thought I'd post this in case anybody else was thinking of trying it...

How much brighter are the bumper lights with the hid over the regular H3 bulbs? I've been thinking about getting a setup for my single headlight trailblazer

When I had my TrailBlazer I put a light kit on it. It was the same dual headlights as the Scrambler. You may want to go that route. You'd have to ask a dealer if they still sell the kit or you could but the parts individually.

Yes the setup is pretty wild, good for plowing in these canadian winters too. The Polaris Bumper lights were crap from day 1, Glad I made the switch...
