Others smile when I tell them I'm not talking to them anymore, too. They get this look of relief on their face....

2012 Polaris 550 Touring EPS trailer hitch - YouTube

This is not a big deal but a little anoying especially when you have a load in the trailer and need both hands to unhook it.

I'm sure there are all kinds of fixes.

There is a fix!!! Flip the hitch over so the tongue isn't sticking up so much.

I had it flipped when I fist put it on.

The tongue on a couple of our trailers won't drop down on the ball because the protruding edge hits on the hitch so I had to turn it "right side up".

I could buy a longer draw for the ball but I already bought this one. And I would have to take it off every time I went riding.

I ride almost every day and use the trailer a lot.

OK, I'll quit whining.

The first time I pulled a trailer with my xp I thought the same thing. Kinda a pain but what do you do. I wished they wouldn't have switched to a receiving hitch and kept the setup the original sportsman 500 had, but oh well.

there is a company that makes a adapter especially for the 550/850 XP to convert it from 1 1/4" to 2", I know there are tons of automotive one's out there but this one angles down a little bit so your draw bar is straight instead of angled up so much, I know if I'm not parked just the right way my trailer jack will lift the back of my quad off the ground before it comes of the ball, a real PITA, I can't find it on the net, don't even know who makes it but I seen one a few months ago at a local shop, I'm planning on getting one next time I'm there, I'll post a pic when I get it.

thanks Checkmate

Just a simple straight one would be great.

I hope no one thinks I'm nitpicking but I have one more little tiny one.

Maybe a rod or strut might work better. I think in time the cable will affect the weather stripping and cause it to leak.

None of this liitle stuff would ever affect the buying decision for me. Just a couple things not well thought out.
