How are you liking your new job? Get to start any controlled forest fires yet?

nope - we leave that up to the forest Service

I'm really enjoying the new job - been out marking the snowmobile trails with reflective snow poles so I can find my way while grooming the trails this winter.

I'd post more pictures but it takes for ever to re-size, upload and post them. I'll see if I can't get some up this weekend.

Looking forward to more of your pics. You've been slacking lately.

Here's a couple pics from an impromptu ride we took Monday in So. Maine. First one surprised all of us. Went from on top of grass to stuck in 1.5 deep soily black mud. I had to stand on the left footwell while my buddy pulled to get it out. Had a hard vertical spot on the start of the hole and the end of the hole.

Then his son decided to try to get back on the trail we had come down and ventured out into more "grass". Sunk up to the headlights at one point.

I won't ride without at least one winch in the group. Lots of places to get stuck in mud up here.

Any updates Specta?? I only bump this to the top because I am going to look at a 850 Touring this week in place of my standard 500 Sportsman. But after your small issues it is making me rethink this trade up deal? Great write up btw too... I love the pics and vids as it really makes your descriptions on here very reputable.

A thread update would be nice too. I love my classic Sportsman, but when it comes time to replace it, it will either be an Arctic Cat, or a King Quad, or an Outlander if the frame fix holds up. Just not liking all the little quality issues that the XP's seem to have.

Kudos. I just picked up a 500 Touring so the wife can join the kids and I on the trails. Polaris seems to be good stuff.
