Default A Fall Ride on the Mountain

We went for a little ride today, the weather was perfect and the leaves are coming into full color. Unfortunately, my brother's old Polaris 400 Explorer died on the mountain today; slung a rod through the block, at least it died honorably on the trail. Thank goodness for a good tow strap, we were able to tow it back to the nearest dirt road, ten miles away, with my atv. Looks like he will be getting an atv for Christmas.

Beautiful country compared to the flat prairie land around these parts! Have to go to south Texas hill country OR west Texas to find anything decent. Couldn't help but notice the teal colored Trail Boss 250 We sold a bunch of those dependable old atvs!

Love riding in the fall, my favorite time of year.

Sorry to hear about the breakdown.

Maybe along with the new quad, he could also buy some riding gear....like helmets !! not one helmet or eye protection in any of those pictures!!, looks like a great place to ride, but only takes one spill or a kicked up rock to sour the moment. I love looking at riding pictures, but knowing everyone made it home in one piece is important too !! Not barking at you, its just I've lost track of how many times a little riding gear has prevented trail mishaps like a branch to the head or face, or kicked up rocks from fellow riders, or that unexpected tumble from a hill climb or steep path from becoming an unneeded trip to the emergency room.

Good advise from 95wolv. Sorry to hear about the atv dying, but what a great reason to buy an awesome Christmas gift for yourself. I also enjoy a nice fall ride. All the different colors along with the different trail conditions. Anything from dusty to wet to snow all in one ride. Makes for a great day.

Great pics, John. Looks like a good time had by all. (Other than the deerly departed quad)
