taking it out once you use heat is fairly easy. i just popped mine right out once i heated it up good and warm. only use the freezer idea when you get ready to put it back in and i bet it will go in pretty good.

I've been out of pocket for a while but I just had to come back and update on the method I used to change my ball joint. I used an oxy-acetylene torch for about 15 or 20 seconds on the strut housing while pulling on the joint with a pair of pliers and it popped right out. I put the new one in the freezer for about 30 mins and re-heated the strut for about a minute and the new one slid right in to the bottom. I pumped it full of grease and put it back together. Thanks again you guys, you always know the best way to fix it at home(saving about $90 an hour at the shop)!!
