Predator 500 trouble
i got a 2003 predator 500.. i started it up let it idle and went to the beer store when i came back engine temp light was on and she blowed the cap off the coolant bottle and the fan was NOT running. i shut her down and i was looking around i pulled dipstick in sump bottle and it was over filling with gas. so i got 2 problems. maybe a stuck thermostat and not telling my fan to cut in ??? and fuel in sump maybe caused by carb?? just trying to source the problems any help appreciated

Think you got the carb figured out(new needle and seat) and change oil and filter!,but usually not a thermostat problem when you have cooling problems, but more than likely a thermal sensor at the top of the radiator burnt out not allowing fan to kick on,plus check that the fan and radiator are clear, not clogged. Plus you can pull the fan plug and check it with 12 volts direct to eliminate a fan problem. When you replace lost coolant, leave the radiator cap off until the fan cycles on to expel any trapped air in the system.
