If I remember right from reading about the original MV700 the rings ARE for airdrop portability. That's why they're so big. I chuckled when I read that thinking about some guy on the ground looking up to suddenly see 900 lbs. of military spec quad about to land on his head.

They spend all that money on a "high-tech bullet proof" machine and put those POS Maxxis tires on it. LMFAO

Looks to be on a Touring chassis too.

Yeah, those tires caught my eye too. A little ridiculous compared to the rest of the machine.

Although.... The specs say that "run flat" tires are included as standard equipment. That's not so bad.

I believe they used to have Goodyear Rawhides that had the run flat feature. Which should be read: Run flat, extremely stiff sidewall, abusive ride tires.

I just took a set of Rawhides off my 550. I don't know if they were the run flat or not but they aren't any better than those Maxxis that came on the 550.

I wonder why they call them Rawhides when they're nothing like the old Rawhide Grips. Couldn't they come up with another name? I think Polaris only used the RG tires for 1 year because they were too aggressive.

When I was working as a surveyer we had a lot of jobs that we had to get dropped off from the air because there was no other way in, those rings would have been great.
