i have 1 93 350l with piston gone and i bought a 94 400L with 4wd messed up person who had 400 took orignal regulators and put one off sumthing else on it so i think thats what messed the 4wd up on it maybe so i decided to switch motors have motor everything botled yadda yadda now my problem the 350has 6 wires from motor and 400 has 8 and different colors i tryed alot of combinations and no fire is this possible or do i need the 400L voltage regulators and that on my 350? also can i just take stator outta 350 and put in 400?

 

The stator, flywheel,stator harness,cdi,regulator rectifier,reverse limiter are different on the 400 versus the 350! You need ALL the electrical components and wiring from the 400 to make it correct as they won't hook up properly using part of the 350 and part of the 400 electrical system components! Also the main electrical harness is different on the 400 versus the 350! There were just a lot of changes when the 400 came out all the way down to the shifter assembly with a gear position switch inside and the transmission had a different part number also! OPT
