Default Rear suspension help!

I got a 2009 Scrambler 500 4x4. I love this quad. But my big *** makes it sag fairly low. I only use this to plow snow and run around a few trails and fly around with the kids (all 4 of them), teaching them how to ride their bikes and quads. I'm not jumping anymore or going crazy. I'm gonna be 41 and my body breaks easily. LOL . I was thinking about just upgrading the rear spring to a 300lb rate since I am 300lbs. with no gear on and losing a little weight as time goes by. The stock spring is rated at 110/180 adjustable. Is this gonna be a too stiff of a spring? I am not really worried about complete comfort, I dont like the sag feeling. Any info would be greatly appreciated...

my 06 has the same problem it could be wear on the shock as well, but it's not sprung nearly as heavy as the 01 I just traded for, it has the Fox shock and before I sell it, I'm swapping rear shocks out. The 01 rides better, doesn't bottom out and has a much more positive feel with my 275lb @ss on it compared to my 06. It also has a little taller stance in the rear sitting with nobody on it.

I think the springs only come in two rates - standard and heavy duty.

Thats what I was told, but I called TWO Polaris dealers and they told me that there are no heavier springs for the Scrambler. I called a place near me called, Pro Action Suspensions and they never did a scrambler and didn't really want me to be the Guinnea Pig for them, but they did say they could refill the shock. I have something custom made right now. I will post pics and post details if it works out. I will be installing it tonight.

When I had my Trailblazer I got a heavy duty spring from the dealer. The Scrambler should take the same spring. Maybe they quit making it.

I put a 300lb per inch spring on. I actually ordered a 14" Eibach spring (powdercoated in red) with a 2.5 in inside diameter. Dipshits sent me a Hypercoil spring (powdecoated in dark blue) Cost me about 65 bucks shipped for the spring. I figured F#@% it! It would be more of a hassle to return than to use it. Doesn't look bad though. Better than I thought. I kinda like it!! I made a top and bottom bracket to accomadate the spring. I weigh 300 # give or take 5# either way. It sagged about 1" with me just sitting on it. I bounced up n down and it sagged about a total of 2". I have video an pictures but dont know how to post them.. i can send a pic or video if you can post them for me through text from my phone. I just need your number. Im really satisfied for what Im using it for. Im only plowing snow and teaching my kids how to ride, nothing crazy! I love the consistant height.
