Default front a arm ball joints

The front tires on my 2010 850 XP Touring are tipping in at the top really bad. It started doing this within 500 miles after I got it. Looking at the shop manual, the only thing I can see which could be the problem are the ball joints but the Polaris dealer thought it was the shocks so they put new ones on in 2010. I got the machine in Novermber of "09". The tires just keep tipping in worse all the time. Has any one else had this problem on their 850 tourings?

No, the front shock springs aren't sagging. They put heavier spring diameter shocks on when they put the new shocks on for me 2 years ago when I took it in for this problem. I told them this was not going to fix the problem but they did it any way. I figured what the heck, I was going to be using my snow plow in the winter any way so it wouldn't hurt to have heavier duty shocks on it. I'm guessing there is at least 2" difference between the top and the bottom of the tires. It seems like every 6 months or so, it's a 1/2" more tipped in at the top. And like one gentleman said on one of the forums, Polaris wouldn't do anything about it. I complained to customer service and all they said was they'd make a note of it. I called twice and got ahold of the same bitchy woman. She didn't make a note of it the first time and even agued with me about me calling the first time. She shouldn't be working in customer service that's for sure. The dealership won't do anything else for me either.

Retired about the time all the ball joint problems were happening on the XP850s,but check and see if dealer checked this out! First it was a visual and physical check for any movement PRIOR to sale, and if any movement noticed then kits were to be installed, but I believe since I left it was a full blown recall on certain vin#s of 2009 and 2010 model 550 and 850XPs. Ball joints could separate from the steering stem! Check into this! OPT
