Fuel Petcock Valve for 96 Sportsman same as 86 Yamaha Badger
#1
My fuel petcock was leaking and a new one is about $24 and is not repairable
I happen to have a spare fuel tank for a 86 Yamaha Badger 80 and it just so happens they use a better quality fuel valve that is a direct fit to the polaris.
and costs $11.21 and is rebuildable with a new o ring. Yamaha part is 55X-24500-02-00
The only hitch is a the nipple points forward instead of back and will require a slightly longer fuel line. Even the extended shaft to control the valve on the Sportsman worked perfectly.
The Polaris part is 7051006
Thought it was a good find and a definite upgrade.
