Did you establish a base line acceleration run with the old silencer and time it? Then install the Supertrapp and time it again?

I haven't seen one advertised for the SP500HO yet. All of the pipes that are listed for the sportsman only go up to the 1999 or 2000 model. And comparing my buddys 99 stock sportsman pipe to the one on my HO it looks as if the HO header pipe in larger than the 99's. I am just wondering if the aftermarket pipes will be the same, A larger header pipe for the HO.

Shaggy500HO - How come you shelved your green spring? I'm in the process if modding out my SP500 and I was looking at a green spring.

silverado - Was the pipe excessive loud and was the power gain worth the money and noise?

Thanx ahead of time.

well I'd have to say it just didn't work for me.
When I first put in the green spring alone I lost about 8 mph in low and it felt like the belt sliped alot, I never tried to top it out in high it was to icy. I than tried the heavy weights for the non HO SP500 and it helped some, but it was a little low on rpm in high at speed(It needs lighter wieghts) and it would only do about 56mph on my speedo. Now that it has the blue spring and stock wieghts it will hit 60mph on the speedo on the same road just like when new. Also my belt is very glazed. And that happened the day before I put the green spring in. I was playing in some fresh snow and I was using high when I should have been using low. A new belt may have helped but I won't know till next time.
Also if I get a tach to tune the clutching better I will try all of this again. But untill than its staying on the shelf.
P.S. The thing about changing the spring and wieghts is what works on your quad might not work on mine and vice-versa
