Default I need some 12" rims

maybe you can help me out.

dont care what brand. or even if they are just stock rims off a newer polaris. as long as they will fit my 96 sportsman 500. i'll even be ok with a set of 14's if the price is good. prefer 12's though...

i just need a set of wheels for my sportsman so i can get some larger tires since i'm having a hard time finding 27-28" tires for my 10" rear wheels.

honestly i'd be fine if i could find 2 steelies to put on the rear.
i dont really care about having pretty rims. just some that wont look like crap.

I'm located in South Georgia.

looking for some priced 150 or less, bc i can get a set of new steel wheels for 220.

thanks,
Blake

I would not go bigger then 25" tires on a 96 Sportsman. The first SP500s 96 and 97 did not have CV joints only U-joints and heavy over size tires make cause some Snap Crackling and Pop.

ITP Mudlites come in 27-12-10 for your rims. but the less agressive "AT's" not the agressive "XL" or "XXL" lugs. Mudlite ATV Tires

More agressive Dirt Devil XT ATV Tires come in
27x12.00-10 Rear 6 Ply
GBC Dirt Devil XT ATV Tires

there's a lot more options for a 12 inch rim.

and if i do break an axle or u-joint, i'll just replace it with something stronger. no big deal.

Blake, I believe that you can run a newer double cv in your current machine but have to get new outer hubs as well. Just a heads up if you find parts for cheap. If you run 27 or 28 inch tires you will probably have some tire rub. You may need a lift to clear the tires at least in the front. The back has more room.

Also included is the 10mm lug nuts or 3/8 inch lug nuts. I bought the set for the new tires that came with the set, but the wheels do not fit my Suzuki Ozark.

Try for Aluminium alloy vs steel, your u-joints will love you for it.
