Default Keep Jets Clean?

How should I help keep my jets clean on my '08 Outlaw 525? They keep getting clogged and it starts to run hot. The exhasut got cherry red at first.
Should I get a better air filter? It's pretty dusty where I ride, and it has an aftermarket filter from when we bought it. I'm also thinking about turning the gas off and let it run until it runs out of gas.

I run a mix of Sea Foam about every other tank of fuel,,,Sea Foam is the ONLY fuel cleaner That I use that I KNOW works...not to get into a big debate over fuel system cleaners but it works..others might too but this stuff works and if it is in fact a dissolvable dirt that stuff will clean it out.
Not sure why you are overheating , but too lean a mixture will surely overheat yer machine.

your fuel filter might need to be changed out. you may want to see if you can find a different micron size than a standard fuel filter. just a thought.

The fuel filter would surely make it run lean if it is starving for fuel..good advice !

Might also want to take the tank off and give it a good cleaning to get any stuff out of it that may be clogging the jets.

Like the others posted, fuel filter, better air filter and about every 3 or 4 tanks, run some seafoam through it.

I use stp gas treatment every 5 tanks or so on my two strokes and everything runs clean. I also run premium gas so that damn ethanol doesn't gum stuff up..
