Check for vaccum leaks- seals, base gasket, carb boot for cracks. Also how are the reeds ?

no reeds on 250.gonna take jug off and start over i guess.at this point it is either do that or take to shop and pay them to do the exact same.

good thought.checked twice (has "exh"and arrow on top pointing to exhaust side)was hoping it was backwards,would have explained a lot!
