ITP Magnums, Tri/Bi Claws, 589 MTs

Hi all, I’m considering taking the plunge into a different tire/wheel combo. My current setup with fore & aft lift kits and 26” Mud Runners is great but I’ve never been one to leave well enough alone. For some time I’ve been lusting after the idea of 27” Tri/Bi Claws on ITP magnum wheels but as the snow goes away and mud season is just around the corner I’m giving the idea a little more attention. From all I’ve read thus far, this combination seems to offer the best compromise of low weight gain, ground clearance improvement, and good all-around trail manners for a SERIOUS mud tire setup. Recently I was treated to a picture of the new Titan 589 MTs and they look like a great tire too, but my guess is a little on the heavy side.
I’ve been told ITP has stopped making the Magnums in the battleship gray, but they now offer them in black. I really don’t want to put polished aluminum wheels on my HO RSE. Can anyone confirm this info? At this point I’d appreciate any and all opinions from those experienced with similar setups. The published weight of the Mags is 7 pounds. Articles have placed the 27x12x12 Tri-Claws at 31 pounds and 27x9.75x12 Bi-Claws at 29 pounds. Can anyone dispute or confirm this? I’d also appreciate some advice as to where I might look for the best prices on these combos. Thanks very much!

I can't talk much about the tires as I had 26 inch mudbugs by maxxis and I am now running 27 inch mudbugs, but I am running them on itp magnum billet aluminum rims that I bought from High Lifter. I bought the crome rims and I have crome lug nuts on as well. After 1 year, the rims are holding up great and they look sharp. These are 12
inch rims which will handle 26 and 27 inch tires but I don't know about 28 inch tires. I like them very much. rangerchet polaris xpedition 425 cc 5-speed.

There are some weight comparisons on the following page. The tires certainly look awesome in action. I am familiar with the Sink Hole and it is one nasty place.
