Your suspicions are right. I just haven't got the money yet.(3 kids a wife and to many hobbies to keep up)

 

I raced two different piped Raptors yesterday. We raced on a flat, 250-300 yard smooth dirt road. One of the Raptors could only beat me by a 1/2 quad length. The other Raptor seemed to run a little better. He was a quad and a 1/2 in front of me, and pulling steadily. I was surprised how well my bike ran with them.
