2012 Polaris Ranger XP 800
We got a new Polaris Ranger XP 800 not long ago at all, and I have a question about it if anyone can help. We took it up to check hay the other day, and the passenger seat got unbearably hot. Does anyone know how we can modify the vehicle to help with this problem? Thanks for reading. Hi! We just got a new Polaris Ranger XP 800 and I have a question about it if anyone can help. a friend of mine had a similiar problem although his is not a ranger. he used that "stiff" insulation that has the foil paper backing on it and lined it under the seat near the heated area and the foil paper side kept the heat radiation at bay. not sure what that stuff is called that he used. i think it came from his shop whenever he built his shop. he didn't put it on the seat side, it was on the engine/exhaust side opposite the sheet metal of the underside of the seat closest to the hot spot.

You might do as Jaster94 said and add more insulating foil, but the seat already has a lot of it on it already.Another problem is the aluminum seat brace to protect the fuel rail and injectors just radiates heat right up to the seat area. I noticed this on the late 2011 model Rangers also that came out with this brace.Try to wrap extra insulation around this if you can. OPT
