Direction of Coolant flow
#1
I have issues with my 850XP overheating. I think I have the problem resolved. However, I purchased an aftermarket digital coolant sensor that goes in the radiator hose. Maybe some one can tell me the direction of the coolant flow. Does the coolant enter the radiator through the top hose or the bottom hose? Does anyone have any suggestions as to which hose I should put the sensor in?
2009 Polaris Browning LE 850XP. With a ton of problems I have had to work through. Including Starters, Gear sensor, fan issues, over heating, Mechanical water pump seal, shift forks, Broken Suspension parts, Throttle body issues, Broken belts, clutch rebuilds, wheel bearings, front prop shaft u-joints, exhaust pipe leaks, melted plastic, etc.... Thanks to this forum and a little mechanical skills, all problems have been repaired by me; mainly because my local dealer is an idiot.
Let me thank everyone in advance for any and all help.

Bottom hose on the radiator goes into the engine, top hose is the return to the radiator. Cooler temperature is at the bottom hose after going through the radiator and cooled by the fan and actual coolant temp will be on the top hose. This is where the temp gauge needs to be placed. OPT
