after refilling my overflow on my 97 sportsman 500, I ran the engin a bit, and it kept smoking, form some part of the radiator, it kinda looked like it was leaking along the metle strip that holds the plasic part to the metal core, I was juat wondering if anyone has had similar problems or would have any other clue what it is, where its coming from, (there were no leaks on hoses or anything, seemed to come from under the fan shoroud) will look into it later when I get a change, cant do to much when I am at school and its at home. any ideas?? thanks for all the help!!!

They somtimes get loose at the top hose clamp and the rad cap can also get loose .Check that its tight hopefully that might be that, otherwise you might be into a new rad

I had the same problem with mine leaking in the same place. I replaced the left hose and it didn't change anything. So I was convinced it was the radator. I took the the radiator out and took it to a shop to have them test it. They did a cold pressure test up to 16 lbs. and couldn't get it to leak. They recrimped the metal clamps just for good measure. I just put it back in last Sunday and started it up and let it idle until the fan came on. So far no leaks. I will put the plastic back on this weekend and take it out for a ride. I'll let you know what happens. It was the strangest thing.
