I may be jumping ship....

Well guys I did it. I advertised the Scrambler for sale. I'm kind of thinking about getting a 400EX or Raptor. If I could afford that & the Scrambler I would, but I can't. I like my Polaris but it's time for something else & Polaris just isn't showing me anything. I hope in the next year or two Polaris decides to introduce a new & improved sport quad into the market then I'll come back. I just wish Polaris's sport quad market wasn't so stagnent.
I'm sure I'll miss my Scrambler but I want something else.....

Well I hope you have good luck with your new machine. I agree with you in a way there is nothing else to get in the sport quad market at Polaris you have a Scrambler they have not really done anything to them in a few years. They really need to come up with a couple all new machines. To keep people interested and wanting to trade in for new ones. Like for me they put the HO motor in the SP and upgraded steering and brakes so in a year or so when I want to trade my current SP in I will have something a little different to get.

Hell, I've tried selling mine a few times. I figured with KBB at $3600 and $4500 in it, $5K seemed fair, but no takers. Looks like I'm stuck with it, so I may as well make the best of it.
"NEW" HPD race pipe on order, and FTZ alky carb to follow! Lets see now...75HP (at the crank)?
Go with the EX over the Raptor. The handeling and suspension will more than make up for the lack of displacement, and if you are that concerned about HP, RCR can still hook you up as he is one 'helluva Honda man too!!

I just sold my scrambler 400 (RCR kit) to my brother in law (converted him from dirt bikes)so I could buy a Raptor or the new rumoured Honda. I've decided I can't wait for the new Honda (gotta have reverse, so no 400ex), so I guess I'm getting a Raptor. It was that ride on my son's new 300ex that sold me on having a light and manuverable quad. I just spent Sunday riding in the snow with my 300ex and my Scrambler, and the 300ex went everywhere the Scrambler did, and was easy to pull out when we both got stuck.
Good luck,

Guys,
Thanks for seeing where I'm coming from.
Jerry,
My Scrambler only has a couple of mods. Guys like you, Mike & Jack have so much invested that it's better to keep your Sports. For me it's a choice of more mods or just buy a new quad that is on par already. I'm still kind of up in the air about it. What to do, what to do...

Good luck. I too am looking into a Raptor for this summer. The wife will get the Scrambler. I am just waiting for my wallet to catch up with my bills and we will see. (bills = HPD, DG, HotSeat, Ski-Doo, Jet Hot, HPD, etc, etc,etc...)

I still think the EX is the best all around ATV out right now, followed closely by the DS. The Raptor may have the displacement, but is severely lacking in the handeling and comfort departments.
Hell, if Bombardier comes through with the rumored 350 V-twin 2-Stroke, that will be the ticket!

Well I went and got a two-wheeler, just couldn't stay away any longer. The need for agility and speed and light weight got to me
. I'm keeping my modified TBlazer and giving it to the wife (after riding it she likes the extra power and response).
I feel I got the best of both worlds now, when I feel like quading I can ride the TB and let the wife ride the KLX (she feels safer on the TB because, well you fall down less
).
I've always owned one or the other but never both at the same time. Soon as Junior gets older I'll give him the choice also, although following Dad's bike in the trails might influence him
Still love the quad, but really missed a two-wheeler. I'm going to advertise the TB soon for $2800, I'm in Tampa Fl. and it has less than 75 hrs. on it (stored for 6 mo. in summer last year).
